Yevka’s Chocolate Chip Cookies
My favorite go to chocolate chip cookie recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
¾ cup brown sugar, packed
½ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract
2¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (do a mix of chips and chunks if you’re feeling extra)
Optional: flaky sea salt for sprinkling
How to make:
Preheat oven to 375°F. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl or stand mixer, cream together the cold butter and both sugars until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
Add in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients — just until combined.
Fold in all that chocolatey goodness.
Scoop big cookie dough balls (about ¼ cup each) and space them out on your baking sheet.
If you’re feeling fancy, sprinkle a little flaky sea salt on top before baking.
Bake 10–12 minutes until the edges are golden and the centers still look slightly underdone — trust the process.
Let cool on the pan for 5–10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack (if they even make it that far).
