Banana Bread

Ingredients:

• 3 ripe bananas (mashed)

• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

• 3/4 cup brown sugar (light or dark)

• 2 eggs

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

• 1 tsp baking soda

• 1/2 tsp salt

• 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional but yummy)

• 1/4 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt (for extra moisture)

• Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips


How to make:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease 9x5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.

3. Add eggs, mashed bananas, vanilla, and sour cream. Mix well.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

5. Add dry ingredients to the banana mixture and stir just until combined. Don’t overmix!

6. Fold in any optional add-ins like nuts or chocolate chips.

7. Pour into the loaf pan and bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

8. Let it cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
